Additional Information
1 - Bangladesh customs has circulated that for any miss declaration in the Manifest or HAWB, the shipment
will be seized for an uncertain period of time and may cause the seizing of whole consol. Kindly make
sure that shipments are declared correctly on the Physical AWB and Alerting (Manifest).
2 - Clearance of Non documents and dutiable documents in Bangladesh:
1) - Upon arrival the shipments will be held by the customs, and the clearance documents will be delivered
to the consignee with a covering letter for the necessary information of the clearance.
2) - The consignee can either authorize Aramex or his own broker to clear the shpt, and in both cases the
paperwork and the VAT certificate should be provided for the clearance.
3) - In case the consignee assigned his own broker the clearance should be done within 22 days from the
courier warehouse, otherwise the shipment will be transferred to the General customs warehouse where a
high storage charges would be applied upon clearance.
4) - After 2 months the shipment will be auctioned or destroyed by the customs, neither the consignee nor
the courier company would be notified.
5) - Shipments > 5 kg should be submitted for clearance after 48 hrs of ETA.
